Cleveland Browns QB options in 2022

3. Teddy Bridgewater and a rookie

I’m sure this option would really thrill Cleveland Browns fans.

Teddy Bridgewater has become a journeyman after a really promising start to his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, once upon a time.

There is no question that Bridgewater is hovering around “average” when comparing him to his peers at the quarterback position, but he is coming off of the “best” season of his career, at least statistically, with the Denver Broncos.

Bridgewater completed almost 67 percent of his passes for over 3,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

Bridgewater knows Kevin Stefanski well from their time together in Minnesota, and he would be the perfect “bridge” quarterback for a rookie if Stefanski wants to hand-pick the future at the position for the Browns.

The 2022 NFL Draft is not exactly known for its star power at the quarterback position, but there are a number of guys in this class that are more exciting than people are giving them credit.

Even if the Browns simply try to accumulate draft capital to make a bigger, bolder move in 2023, Bridgewater could be an option if they move on from Mayfield.
