1. Cedrick Wilson, Wide Receiver

Michael Gallup has proven he can be a No. 1 target in the NFL and is about to hit free agency, but there’s now a caveat. Gallup tore his ACL making a touchdown catch in Week 17 which could put his offseason in jeopardy. Rather than try and cash in, Gallup could be looking for a one-year deal in Dallas where he can rehab and hit the open market in 2023.

If that does happen, it could mean another free agent receiver leaves the Cowboys, Cedrick Wilson. A former sixth-round pick from Boise State, Wilson missed his rookie season due to an injury then played in just six games in 2019.

He finally saw the field a good bit in 2020 and had 189 yards and two touchdowns on 17 receptions. That was just an appetizer for 2021 as Wilson has continued to improve as a player — and has filled in nicely for Gallup who missed seven games earlier in the season with a calf injury.

In all, Wilson has 40 receptions on 55 targets with 483 yards and four touchdowns. If that wasn’t enough, he’s also shown he can make things happen on the trick plays as he’s now 3-of-3 passing for 88 yards in 2021 and 5-of-5 for 111 yards with one touchdown in his career.

Wilson is the type of player coaches love and if he and Kell Moore were to leave Dallas, it would be interesting to see if they could find a way to continue to work together.
