Jim Harbaugh landing spot No. 4: New York Giants

In 32 games so far, Joe Judge has led the New York Giants to just 10 wins and 22 losses. And what’s worse is, their losses have included some incredibly lopsided games.

That’s why it was such a surprise when Adam Schefter of ESPN said recently that New York plans to keep both Judge and quarterback Daniel Jones. According to Schefter, the franchise believes they deserve another season — surely upset by the fact that they have had to fire so many coaches after just two seasons.

"“The New York Giants are planning to bring back head coach Joe Judge and quarterback Daniel Jones for the 2022 season, league sources tell ESPN. The Giants believe both Judge and Jones deserve the opportunity to demonstrate their talents next season, even though New York already has been eliminated from the playoffs and has clinched a fifth consecutive season with double-digit losses.” — Schefter, ESPN"

Having said all that, fear of the past is the worst reason for keeping a coach and quarterback — especially when it’s so plain to see it isn’t working. Rather than continue to try and push a square peg in a round hole, New York should consider moving on from Judge and making a run at Harbaugh.

Entering 2022, the Giants don’t have the same talent as some of the other teams on this list but they have some solid defensive pieces as well as good draft capital that Harbaugh could build with. New York could be a powerhouse if they can begin to win again and Harbaugh is someone who could help make that happen.
