Jim Harbaugh landing spot No. 1: Las Vegas Raiders

This is probably the one that makes the most sense. And it’s been discussed as a high probability by both Michigan and NFL sources — the Las Vegas Raiders.

It’s been a tumultuous season, to say the least, for Las Vegas. They lost their head coach, Jon Gruden, just five games into the season after he had some old emails come to life. Gruden resigned after the racist and homophobic words came to life, claiming he didn’t want to distract his team.

There were also a couple of player incidents including Damon Arnette being released after a disturbing video was released with him brandishing a firearm. Worse was the DUI from Henry Ruggs that resulted in an innocent young woman losing her life.

As for the players in Las Vegas, they continued to play hard under interim coach Rich Bisaccia, who is 6-5. He could have a shot at sticking around but the truth is, Harbaugh would be an upgrade.

This is the one that makes the most sense for both sides. The Raiders have a talented enough team to win games and just need a solid coach to put them over the top. For Harbaugh, he gets to join a team that has a quarterback in place and knows how to win.

Several jobs could lure him away from Michigan, but this is where he could have the most success out of the gate.
