23. New England Patriots: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

J.C. Jackson has developed into a very good defensive back for the New England Patriots but they could stand to add some more talent around him. That’s why their first pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft lands them Trent McDuffie from Washington.

McDuffie is listed at 5-foot-11 and 195-pounds and is able to play both on the boundary as well as in the slot. New England loves versatile defenders and that’s what makes him a great selection for Bill Belichick as they continue to rebuild this team back into an AFC Powerhouse after a one-season break.

24. Arizona Cardinals: Roger McCreary, CB, Auburn

This season, the Arizona Cardinals announced to the league they’re for real. Not only were they the final team to suffer a loss this year but they also stayed successful even when Kyler Murray went down with an injury. Then in Week 17, they took it to the Dallas Cowboys as they proved they can hang with any team in the NFC.

They do, however, need some more depth in the secondary. That leads to their selection of Roger McCreary from Auburn. 6-foot-tall and 190-pounds, McCreary is athletic, fast, and competitive. Adding him to a steadily improving defense will only help the Cards repeat the success they had during the 2021 campaign.
