2022 NFL Mock Draft: Browns replace Baker Mayfield, Bucs find another wideout

11. Denver Broncos: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt
The Denver Broncos only need a quarterback and they can compete. Rinse, wash, repeat.
Ever since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset following his Super Bowl win with Denver, the story has been the same. Their roster is talented enough to compete but they need a quarterback.
We have seen some winning take place with Trevor Siemian, a brief stretch with Drew Lock, and there were times in 2020 they looked ready to make a playoff run with Teddy Bridgewater. But alas, it wasn’t meant to be and they’re again going to have to consider a new quarterback in 2022.
This time, it will be Kenny Pickett — if this mock has anything to say about it that is. Pickett has all the tools needed to succeed and could have quick success in Denver given the talented pass-catchers they have.
12. Minnesota Vikings: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
Drafting first-round cornerbacks hasn’t worked out well for the Minnesota Vikings. They still need help at the position though and while it might make them — and their fans — nervous, they take one here with Ahmad Gardner from Cincinnati being the selection.
Gardner was a huge part of the run Cincinnati had to get into the playoffs and has all the confidence and instincts needed to be a success at this position.
