49ers and Cardinals round out top 10 of NFL Power Rankings

A late-game interception secured a postseason berth and a trip to the Lone Star state. With San Francisco now set to take on Dallas, questions turn to what Jimmy Garoppolo will do after willing his team to a win against a vaunted Rams defense.

The credit should be given to the defense and running backs coach Bobby Turner, who always seems to find the right backs for San Francisco’s offense. Both units will need to be on full display if the 49ers want any shot of ending the Cowboys season after one playoff game.

Defense travels, and Nick Bosa and friends did what they needed to do, winning and getting into the playoffs. With New Orleans taking down Atlanta, a loss would have ended the hopes for the Bay area. They won, so they are in.

Seattle gave this team everything they could handle, but Arizona already clinched a playoff berth. Now, Kliff Kingsbury will have to regroup his team that started the season so strong but wilted down the stretch. Still, they are in the postseason and are off to Los Angeles for a wild card game.

They already went to LA earlier in the season and crushed the Rams. Moreover, they do have the confidence knowing that they did that. But they have injuries to deal with and there is the possibility that JJ Watt returns, but that’s a waiting game.

For Kyler Murray, this is his chance to shine and show why he was taken #1 overall in the first place. DeAndre Hopkins has played in the postseason before, so he knows what to expect. Arizona is back in the postseason for the first time since 2015, but they have a tough draw in a divisional rival in Round 1.
