New York Giants HC option no. 4. Brian Daboll, OC, Buffalo Bills

One of the best possible coaches for the young quarterback is offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. Daniel Jones will likely be the Giants starter for another season, and Daboll will get the best out of him.

Jone’s glaring strength is his linear athleticism. He’ll work well in an offense that allows him to make plays with his legs. Daboll does a great job maximizing his quarterback’s strengths. After the team obtained Stefon Diggs, Daboll was able to craft an offense designed to help get Diggs and Allen on the same page. The results speak for themselves.

A deeper look into Daboll’s playcalling shows his love for zone running. Barkley is a versatile back who’ll dominate in any scheme. Andrew Thomas is a staple, but they could have a new-look offensive line. A zone blocking scheme will protect guys from being asked to do a lot in terms of pulling, movement, or climbing.

The long-time offensive coordinator does more for players beyond the football field. ESPN highlighted what Daboll meant to his players. After Josh Allen’s grandmother died, it was Daboll who held the young quarterback in his arms and cried with him.

Daboll is the type of coach players would want to play for. And his offensive intellect will help a team who couldn’t find any success on that side of the ball.
