NFL 2022 offseason, Quarterback #3: Russell Wilson

Sometimes, things are not always fixable. The situation in Seattle has not been fixable since the costly decision of throwing it at the goal line in Super Bowl 49.

Since Super Bowl 49, the Seahawks have not been back to the Super Bowl and have not even been back to the NFC title game. With the rumors running back to the 2021 off-season, it is time for Russell Wilson to move on.

He gave it his all in Seattle, delivering one super bowl championship. The thing is, the rest of the NFC has been improving, especially the NFC West. This season, all the teams from the NFC West made the playoffs besides Seattle.

Yes, Wilson missed a handful of games due to a thumb injury, but the Seattle team is not a good one. LeBron James laid the foundation down of not owing anything to the team that drafted you. It is a business at the end of the day, but the point is still to win championships.

Russell Wilson finding a way to the New Orleans Saints would be league-changing. With Sean Payton still there, Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas coming back fully healthy, and young tight end Adam Trautman, the Saints would become Super Bowl contenders.

Payton made it work for years with a legend that Drew Brees is. A small quarterback just like Brees but with more rushing upside, Wilson will get a whole new career in New Orleans and a chance to climb up the all-time quarterback list.
