8. Best coaching hire for the Chicago Bears: Brian Daboll, OC, Buffalo Bills

Matt Nagy was supposed to be the offensive genius to help the Bears over the hump. Unfortunately, his offensive prowess didn’t shine with the Bears.

After trading up for Justin Fields, many had their hearts broken with the lack of success of the rookie quarterback. All is not lost. It takes the right hire to get the best of a young quarterback. That’s where current Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll comes in.

Justin Fields and Josh Allen are similar prospects. Fields does his best work with a moving pocket and RPOs. Under Daboll, Allen has improved his accuracy, and it shows in his completion percentage.

They’ll have to convince Allen Robinson to return or get a guy to replace him.

The Bears’ offensive line will need work, but Daboll’s zone-blocking scheme will help minimize their flaws. He’ll get Fields on the move and away from the trouble, which will help him improve year-to-year.
