2022 NFL Mock Draft Wild Card weekend: Broncos try again at quarterback

New York Giants add elite OT prospect in 2022 NFL Mock Draft
5. New York Giants: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
When Dave Gettleman took over as the general manager of the New York Giants, he promised he would fix their offensive line. He did throw a lot of assets at the line, but he never did end up getting it fixed. Now with him out, the next GM is again going to need to make some improvements there, and with Evan Neal still on the board, they make the move to bring him in.
Of course, the presence of Andrew Thomas could make this a questionable pick but there’s no reason they can’t put one on either side of the line and make sure they have two very capable offensive tackles.
6. Carolina Panthers: Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State
There’s no denying the Carolina Panthers’ offensive line was an issue in 2021. Of course, much of their offense was a problem, including their play at quarterback and it may be tempting for them to go in that direction here.
However, with Matt Rhule likely on the hot seat, it would probably be a safer bet that he might try for yet another veteran quarterback, hoping to get it right this time.
Let’s say in this mock he has done just that, he still will have to improve the offensive line to make sure whoever is under center has the time they need to succeed. Enter Ikem Ekwonu who is one of the climbers in this draft.
