Predicting NFC West QB situations for the 2022 NFL season

Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray

The Arizona Cardinals’ 2021 season ended in a disappointing fashion. Of course, it didn’t help that they were without DeAndre Hopkins, their WR1 and top playmaker offensively.

This is a team that has been as aggressive as any other in the NFL in recent years at upgrading its roster at any cost.

They drafted Kyler Murray in 2019 just one year after trading up for Josh Rosen. They traded for Hopkins. They traded for Zach Ertz. They brought in James Conner in free agency.

Heck, even the hiring of Kliff Kingsbury who was headed for a college OC role was an ultra-aggressive move.

So far, the results have been mostly positive.

In the NFL, though, it’s all about the war on attrition and who can stay healthy at this time of year.

There’s very little question about the Cardinals’ quarterback position moving forward, so long as Murray is healthy.

If he’s healthy, he’s the guy, and that’s that.
