Los Angeles Rams: Matthew Stafford

The Los Angeles Rams made a bold trade just under a year ago, and it bought them a trip into the NFL’s elite eight.

Matthew Stafford finally won a playoff game, and he looked great doing it.

Stafford has been a godsend for the Rams and to be honest, the Rams have been a godsend for Stafford. They pulled him out of the quicksand in Detroit, and Brad Holmes really did that franchise a huge favor.

Is there any reason why the Lions only required Jared Goff and a couple of late first-round picks for Stafford?

I realize that’s over-simplifying it, but not by much.

The Lions got fleeced in this trade. The master beat the apprentice.

Stafford has played at an MVP level at times throughout this past season for the Rams, helping push Cooper Kupp forward to a legendary season and the Rams have resurrected the career of Odell Beckham Jr. as well.

Stafford will be the QB of the Rams in 2022 and he might be doing it as a reigning Super Bowl champion.
