Predicting AFC East QB situations for the 2022 NFL season

Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen

There’s really not much to be discussed here.

Josh Allen went from an erratic passer at Wyoming to being one of the most deadly weapons in the entire NFL.

It didn’t happen overnight, but Allen is a superstar and it looks like he could lead the Buffalo Bills to the promised land.

He may be an outlier, but Allen’s development has likely given NFL teams hope if they draft players who are ultra-heavy on traits and talent. Putting Allen in a position where he and the team could succeed together early on despite his faults and despite his mistakes was something everyone on that coaching staff can hang their hat on.

The Bills may need to replace backup Mitchell Trubisky, but that’s a bridge they can cross really at any point in time. Maybe they scoop up someone like Marcus Mariota to be a backup for Allen. That could be a really fun pairing.

The real question here is whether or not the Bills will still have Brian Daboll in the fold for 2022. He’s getting looks as a head coach from some of the eight teams with vacancies.
