New England Patriots: Mac Jones

The Patriots, for the first time in the Bill Belichick era, used a first-round pick on the quarterback position.

All of those mock drafts over the years, and they’ve only actually taken one quarterback in the first round.

Fitting that Mac Jones would come out and likely become the NFL’s offensive rookie of the year as well as help lead the Patriots to the Pro Bowl.

It was as though Jones was tailor-made for the Patriots offense under Josh McDaniels, and although they just got blown out by Buffalo in the playoffs, I think there’s still plenty of room for growth here.

There are some who feel like Bill Belichick is not going to be able to live with himself if he doesn’t upgrade at quarterback to compete with the likes of Josh Allen, but I don’t think they’re going to make any hasty decisions with Mac Jones.

You just never know, though.
