Aaron Rodgers trade destination No. 4: Las Vegas Raiders
This year was a tough one for the Las Vegas Raiders. They had the controversy surrounding head coach Jon Gruden who stepped down amid some leaked emails that were pretty rough to see. They also released Damon Arnette who was brandishing a firearm and making some threats on social media.
Then, there was the Henry Ruggs car wreck that cost a woman her life and put him in jail. Even with all that going on, interim head coach Rich Bisaccia kept things rolling and Derek Carr did all he could under center.
Looking forward, chances are Bisaccia won’t be the coach. Las Vegas moved on from general manager Mike Mayock and it appears they will have a full overhaul. That could include making a move with Carr.
For the past couple of offseason, Carr has had his name floated in trade talks. It’s never come too close to fruition but part of that could be due to a lack of options to replace him. That wouldn’t be an issue if they could lure Rodgers to Sin City.
They do need more help at wide receiver as well but it would be easy to recruit some free agents with Rodgers under center, and this coming draft class is full of solid options as well.
