1. Philadelphia Eagles must address the wide receiver position

When quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Gardner Minshew managed to get him to football, 2020 Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith showed why the Eagles invested a first-round pick in him last April. If you watched the team’s 31-15 wild card loss to the Buccaneers, you would have never known that the former University of Alabama star led the team this past season in catches (64), receiving yards (916), and touchdown grabs (5).

In terms of the other pass-catchers, tight end Dallas Goedert finished second on the club with 56 receptions, 830 yards, and four scores, respectively. Wideouts Chez Watkins (43) and Jalen Reagor (33) combined for just 76 catches and three scores. The latter remains a mystery. He played in all 17 games and made 13 starts but totaled only 299 yards on those 33 receptions – a disappointing 9.1 yards per catch.

Yes, it’s safe to say that this club could still use a lot of help when it comes to the wideout position. And it’s worth noting that general manager Howie Roseman will have the 15th, 16th and 19th overall picks at his disposal on April 28. Could one of those selections or more go into getting Hurts another top-flight target?
