Tom Brady sounds like a man who is considering retirement. If he does hang up the cleats, here are a few options for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to consider

There continues to be a growing sense that Tom Brady played his last game when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Loss Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs.

Brady has not come out and said he’s done but he has discussed being around for his family more. And if that’s what he decides to do, the man has earned it. There’s nothing left for him to prove as he was still playing as well as any quarterback to ever step on the field entering his mid-40s.

As for the Bucs, it could present an issue for them. They still have a very talented roster that could compete but they might not be ready to turn things over to Kyle Trask, who they took in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Should they feel the rookie needs more time, they could look to add a veteran via trade. Here we look at three players who could keep Tampa Bay on top of the NFC South.

Tom Brady replacement option No. 3: Kirk Cousins

With head coach Mike Zimmer fired, there’s a high likelihood that the Minnesota Vikings are about to clean house. That could include moving on from Kirk Cousins who is entering the final year of his contract and will be 34-years old when the season kicks off.

Even if Minnesota is willing to move on, Cousins has a lot of football left in the tank. This past season, he threw for 4,221 yards with 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He’s been criticized a lot for losing prime time games but he’s also never been on a team full of players who have had the success this Bucs’ roster has.
