Many eyes will be on the Denver Broncos to see if they are able to pull off a certain trade, but what else can they do to win the offseason?

Every year, a team seems to win the offseason with a strong draft, free agency, or a combination of the two.  Last offseason, I’d argue the Los Angeles Rams won the offseason with their trade for Matthew Stafford.  The offseason before, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers seemed to win the offseason with their addition of Tom Brady.

This offseason, the Denver Broncos are poised to win the offseason if they do a few things.

The most obvious thing they can do to help their case is to add a quality quarterback.  Many across the league do see the Broncos as being a quarterback away.  They have elite weapons on offense and one of the 5 best defenses in the NFL.

They also have a plethora of cap space and draft picks.  They’re a perfect team ready to rebound with the addition of, let’s say, Aaron Rodgers, who apparently is interested in playing for Denver.

There are a few other things they can do to win the offseason, but adding someone of Rodgers’ caliber would definitely help their case.

So, what do the Denver Broncos have to do to win the 2022 NFL offseason?

Moves for the Denver Broncos to win the 2022 NFL Offseason

1. Hire Nathaniel Hackett

Nathaniel Hackett is an up-and-coming coach who has served as the offensive coordinator for the Packers since 2019.

He was also the offensive coordinator in 2017 when the Jaguars made it to the AFC Championship game with Blake Bortles under center.

Hackett has a solid track record of success and is being interviewed by multiple teams.

Hackett is an intense and intelligent football mind, and he’s young, so he’d follow the blueprint of hiring young, offensive coaches.  Three of the four remaining coaches in the NFL playoffs are young, offensive guys, and the last one, Andy Reid, is an offensive-minded coach himself, but he’s a bit older.

Some team will take a chance on him, and of the teams most likely to land Aaron Rodgers, the Denver Broncos are a perfect fit.  Rodgers has spoken highly of Hackett, so hiring him to potentially lure Rodgers to Denver makes a ton of sense.
