24. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa

There was a lot that went wrong with the Dallas Cowboys this season. They were 12-5 and won the NFC East easily but they never looked like a team that was going to contend — especially as the season went along. Then, that was proven when they were bullied at home in the playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers.

Dallas did all they could to come back and they blamed the refs when they fell short but the truth is, this team simply bought into their own hype and needs a dose of reality if they ever do want to contend in the future. They also need to fix their offensive line which was once one of the best in the game but is now a complete mess.

Their biggest holes are in the middle of the line where left guard Connor Williams became a flag magnet and center Tyler Biadasz struggled with the power rush. That’s why they use their top pick in this draft on Iowa’s Tyler Linderbaum who is the best center in this class.

Linderbaum should start from day one and his intelligence and ability to make line adjustments will go a long way toward helping the rest of the unit improve. It’s not a flashy pick, but it can vastly improve the offense.
