Titans get help in the trenches in 2022 NFL mock draft

26. Tennessee Titans: Charles Cross, OT, Mississippi State

The Tennessee Titans need help on their offensive line and they get that with the selection of Charles Cross from Mississippi State. Cross, who could stand to add more mass to his frame, is an athletic player who has been able to hold his own for years with the Bulldogs.

That athleticism is what stood out to Jordan Pun of Fan Nation who said he also plays with an incredibly high awareness.

"“Additionally, he shows great balance and core strength to hold his ground and redirect rushers. Furthermore, he possesses the lateral mobility to mirror pass rusher’s best moves. Athleticism isn’t everything though and playing in Mike Leach’s pass-happy Air Raid scheme has offered countless opportunities for Cross to refine his craft. He displays advanced timing of his strike and knows how to bait defender’s hands and punish them for it. He even has the awareness to pick up stunts, loops and blitzes like a seasoned veteran.”"

Cross is also praised for his high football IQ, which will help him at the next level. As for his fit with Tennessee, they need a right tackle more than a left but both positions are just as important and Cross should be able to play either.
