The New York Giants will have a Buffalo Bills flavor in 2022 with new GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll. Which players could follow?

With general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll coming over from the Buffalo Bills, you can bet that the New York Giants are going to do their best to replicate the success we’ve seen coming out of Buffalo the last handful of years.

Part of that is obviously going to be philosophy in the front office from Schoen as well as scheme and leadership from Daboll, but part of it will also come from stealing a player here or there from Buffalo as well.

Thankfully for Schoen and Daboll, the Bills have a few intriguing players slated for free agency that might be able to help out with the New York Giants right away.

Which Buffalo Bills free agents could follow Schoen and Daboll to the New York Giants?

1. Isaiah McKenzie, WR

The Denver Broncos used a fifth-round pick on Isaiah McKenzie in the 2017 NFL Draft in hopes that he could become pretty much exactly what he’s become for the Buffalo Bills.

McKenzie found himself in the doghouse early on with the Broncos’ new coaching staff at the time, led by Vance Joseph. He was having trouble fielding punts and just with fumbles in general. The Broncos cut him before ever really getting to see if he could develop, and perhaps in a twist of fate, he wound up with Daboll and the Bills where he’s become a very valuable weapon.

Over the last two seasons, including the playoffs, McKenzie has nine total touchdowns as a receiver, returner, and out of the backfield combined.

He’s somewhat of a “gadget” player and perhaps the Giants will just envision Kadarius Toney taking on any responsibilities McKenzie would have, but it could make sense for McKenzie to get a nice payday and stick with a coach who has put him in great positions for success over the last three years.
