New York Giants should be pursuing this Bills free agent OL

2. Ike Boettger, IOL

As Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll look over this New York Giants roster, one clear area they are going to agree needs to be addressed will obviously be the offensive line.

The Giants are thanking their lucky stars that Andrew Thomas started to show some signs of improvement and development this past season after a brutal start to his career, especially compared to his peers in the 2020 NFL Draft class.

The fact of the matter is, the New York Giants need to find ways to upgrade their offensive line play in 2022 and it would be surprising if Schoen and Daboll didn’t make at least a phone call to the agent of Ike Boettger, who has emerged the past two years as a starting caliber interior lineman.

I knew he would.

After going undrafted out of Iowa a handful of years ago, I felt like the Bills had gotten themselves a steal in Boettger who was always solid as a Hawkeye when healthy. Those guys are bred for the NFL coming from Kirk Ferentz’s program and sure enough, after a couple of years developing and bouncing from the Bills and Chiefs practice squads, Boettger has become a starter.

Entering the 2022 season, he could be penciled in as a starting guard for Daboll’s Giants, for the right price.
