Senior Bowl – Cincinnati Bearcats defensive lineman Myjai Sanders (21) is unable to tackle Alabama Crimson Tide running back Brian Robinson Jr. (4) in the second quarter during the College Football Playoff semifinal game at the 86th Cotton Bowl Classic, Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. /

Los Angeles Rams: Myjai Sanders, EDGE, Cincinnati

Let’s be real — the Los Angeles Rams may not need to care much about the 2022 NFL Draft at all.

As of right now, the Rams don’t even have a top-100 selection, but they do have a third-round compensatory pick after the Detroit Lions hired Brad Holmes as their general manager last offseason.

Will they be able to get a guy like Myjai Sanders with that low of a pick?

That remains to be seen, but if the Rams can win the Super Bowl, whoever they draft will simply be icing on the cake.

Even though they have no first-round pick, no second-round pick, and no third-round pick in the top 96 right now, the Rams have built a roster that is poised to compete for titles for the foreseeable future.

They made a trade during the 2021 season for Denver Broncos legend Von Miller to upgrade their pass rush off the edge, and whether or not they are able to keep Miller (a free agent in 2022) remains to be seen.

Obviously, that would be ideal, even though Miller is up there in age.

Even if they can find a way to keep Von Miller, a presence off the edge like Myjai Sanders who can play the run and rush the QB would be outstanding just outside of the top-100 picks.

Sanders has outstanding speed to power potential and could be great in the Rams’ defense.
