New England Patriots: Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia

The New England Patriots defense was dominant most of the 2021 season, ranking second in the league in total points allowed over 17 games.

That spending spree in free agency for Bill Belichick and company really worked out swell.

The Patriots always value versatility and Bill Belichick loves to tap into the Alabama and Georgia pipelines on an annual basis.

Can’t say I blame him.

Alabama and Georgia are pretty consistently cranking out some of the best and most NFL-ready talent in the league, and they employ two coaches that Belichick trusts more than most: Nick Saban and Kirby Smart.

Coming from the Georgia program, Devonte Wyatt is fresh off of a National Championship win and somehow managed to stand out on one of the best and most talented defensive units in all of college football.

Not many defensive linemen over 300 pounds can move the way Wyatt does, and in combination with Christian Barmore on the interior defensive line, teams are going to have serious problems.
