The Denver Broncos have been searching for a quarterback Peyton Manning took them all the way. Will another legendary quarterback find his way there?
The Denver Broncos know that Teddy Bridgewater and Drew Lock are not the answer for the future. So, what do they do? Draft a quarterback this year or go trade for a future hall of fame quarterback?
Exactly how the Broncos did in 2012 with Peyton Manning, they should do the same with Mr. Discount Double Check.
Denver Broncos quarterbacks
It sticks out like a sore thumb. The Denver Broncos are extremely talented pretty much everywhere. Except for the quarterback position. Apologies to Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater, but they simply are not NFL starting quarterbacks.
Bridgewater is 33-30 in his career and Drew Lock is 8-13. Teddy led the Broncos to a 7-7 record as the starter while Lock went 0-3. A young core of offensive stars is being wasted away with lackluster quarterback play.
Let’s not bore with what everyone knows. Aaron Rodgers is big time and would make the Broncos one of the favorites in the AFC right away. The best TD-INT ratio in NFL history, Rodgers threw two interceptions in week one and then proceeded to throw only two the rest of the season.
The offensive weapons and fantasy stars in the making
Listen, if Aaron Rodgers goes to the Denver Broncos, it should not be looked at as a bad move if someone drafts Rodgers, Javonte Williams, and then one of the Broncos receivers.
The receivers the Broncos have are a million times better than the Packers besides the obvious, Davante Adams. Jerry Jeudy would be able to finally thrive with his phenomenal route running similar to Adams.
Javonte Williams will be dominant with any quarterback. He has climbed all to way up to RB9 in dynasty.
The two weapons I would be draft without hesitation are Noah Fant and Courtland Sutton. Rodgers turned Robert Tonyan into a top-three TE in the 2020 season. Noah Fant is an overall better athlete and player than Tonyan.
Fant would finish as a top-five TE and that is being said with the most confidence. Courtland Sutton is the most interesting because the talent is there.
Sutton stands at 6’4 215lbs. He is a big-play type of receiver with long receptions. Playing with the two quarterbacks mentioned earlier does not make it any easier. Although Lock enjoys throwing it deep, he was literally the worst in 2020 doing so.
Sutton and Jeudy both have top 15 WR upside with Rodgers and one of them very well would finish as a top 10 WR.
