Dallas Cowboys mock draft: Devonte Wyatt bolsters D-line

Dallas Cowboys Round 5 pick: Josh Thompson, CB, Texas
Cornerback is being listed as a big need for the Cowboys, but it might not be. They have Trevon Diggs, Anthony Brown, and Jourdan Lewis who can all start. Throw in 2021 second-round pick Kelvin Jospeh who flashed his talent and they’re deeper than expected. On top of that, the Cowboys like Nahshon Wright, who they took in Round 3 last season as well.
Still, they should add some depth which is why Josh Thompson is the pick here. The 6-foot, 190-pounder has the size Dan Quinn covets and should be able to help on special teams right away given his willingness to deliver hits.
Dallas Cowboys Round 5 pick: Cole Turner, TE, Nevada
Dalton Schultz is a free agent and the Cowboys need to re-sign him. However, they could lose Blake Jarwin who has one year left on his deal but might need to be released to be able to retain Schultz.
Whatever they decide, they’ll need someone to come in and compete for a spot which is why they add Cole Turner from Nevada. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 240-pounds, Turner has excellent height and can play in-line — a huge plus in Dallas.
Dallas Cowboys Round 6 pick: Zach Tom, OT, Wake Forest
With their final pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Dallas Cowboys pick Zach Tom from Wake Forest. He has a lot of experience with 34 starts and has played tackle as well as center.
His versatility could help him find a spot on this roster as they look to get some youth, as well as some durability, on their O-line.
