The NFL head coaching cycle for the 2022 offseason is wrapping up, and here we will break down the coaching hires thus far.

The 2022 NFL offseason is well underway for many teams, and those who are needing a head coach have either hired someone or have narrowed their search down to a few names.

Here, we will briefly break down each hire thus far and what it means for their respective teams.

All in all, it seems like most teams have made logical, sound hires, so I would venture to say that most of these fanbases should be very excited for the future.

As the NFL turns to a more offensive note, most teams filling a vacancy thus far have hired an offensive-minded head coach, outside of the Chicago Bears.

With that said, let’s look at the head coaching hires that have all but been officially announced so far.

NFL head coach hire #1: Nathaniel Hackett, Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos hiring Nathaniel Hackett was an obvious choice.  He shares a connection with  Aaron Rodgers, who may want to be traded this offseason.  It’s clear that Denver has been the most linked team to Rodgers, and hiring Hackett brings everything full circle.

He’s an energetic offensive mind who is bringing some much-needed spice to Denver after 3 years of Vic Fangio.

Hackett is phenomenal in front of a microphone and filled with passion.

Denver Broncos‘ fans should be excited for this hire, after five total years of failed defensive head coaches.

Hopefully, Hackett is able to use his knowledge to involve the plethora of Denver’s playmakers on offense while sustaining success on defense.
