Allen Robinson destination #3: Miami Dolphins

Well, we said we could get Allen Robinson a destination with some stability at the QB position, and so far, we’re 0-for-3.

I tried to combine the top situations for Robinson while also looking at situations with the top cap space in the NFL.

As of this particular moment, no one in the NFL has more cap space in 2022 than the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins made the shocking decision to fire head coach Brian Flores after two winning seasons with the team, but as time has gone along, the differences between the Dolphins and Flores have become apparent.

It seems like Tua Tagovailoa was an obvious point of contention, but Flores also couldn’t find any viable solution at offensive coordinator. The Dolphins decided to go after one of the most underrated head coach candidates on the market in 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel.

McDaniel, who used to ride his bike to Denver Broncos training camp, has been a disciple of the Shanahan offense for almost two decades. A Yale graduate, McDaniel has worked with some of the best offensive minds in the NFL and knows how to get playmakers involved in the offense.

Allen Robinson would join Jaylen Waddle in Miami and give the Dolphins a big-time duo at the wide receiver position for the immediate future.
