If Aaron Rodgers wants to be traded by the Green Bay Packers, the front office should make a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders for quarterback Derek Carr.

Much like it was a year ago, the talk of the town is that quarterback Aaron Rodgers, anticipated to win his fourth MVP of his career and the second consecutive year he’s been awarded, could have very well played his last game for the Green Bay Packers. The worst part is that he was the reason why the team fell marginally short of their goal.

Making an absurdly dramatic offseason break every major sports network, all eyes were on Rodgers and the Packers in their “Last Dance” season. When it mattered though, Aaron Rodgers was borderline bad in their divisional-round matchup against the San Fransisco 49ers, a game in which the offense only scored one touchdown and it came on their very first drive of the game.

If he truly does leave the Green Bay Packers after this game, the front office will have a say in where he goes, as he’s contractually bound to the team for the 2022 NFL season. In this event, the Packers need to chisel a trade similar to that of the Detroit Lions sending Matthew Stafford to the L.A. Rams for Jared Goff and several 1st-Round draft picks.

If Aaron Rodgers wants out, Derek Carr should become the next quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

One team that poses an intriguing prospect for this deal is the Las Vegas Raiders and their quarterback Derek Carr. He’s the most underrated player in the NFL and he also has built a solid report with superstar wide receiver Davante Adams when they played together at Fresno State in college. Needless to remind everyone that Adams is set to be a free agent barring a franchise tag for this upcoming offseason.

‘Tae, as referred to by his teammates and coaches, is unquestionably the best wide receiver in the NFL today. To lose him and Aaron Rodgers this summer would be the equivalent of stubbing your toe 28 times in a row on a Monday. The All-Pro wideout has noted that the only two quarterbacks he’ll ever play for are AR12 and Derek Carr. If you can’t have one, you have to go out and get the other.

Not only would adding Carr keep Adams in town, but it also keeps the Green Bay Packers in the hunt. Despite being $40+ million over the salary cap, the Pack can still field a contending team for next season, and adding this quarterback will be a massive reason as to why.

This is a guy who has a career passer rating of 94.0 in the NFL across 127 games with an impotent wide receiver core during his time with the Raiders. Imagine what he could do with a guy like Davante Adams? Having an offensive line that can properly hold off pass-rushers and can create holes for the run game are two things he’s never had.

He’s a true gamer and will do whatever it takes to win football games. Above all else? He’s an incredible leader on and off the field who takes responsibility for his actions.

To be clear, would Aaron Rodgers returning to the Green Bay Packers in 2022 be favorable? Obviously. He’s the most talented passer to ever grace the NFL and is playing better than he has in his entire career (apart from hiccups in the postseason). However, should push come to shove, Derek Carr is without a doubt the most suitable replacement for Rodgers.
