If the Green Bay Packers want players in addition to draft picks for Aaron Rodgers, the Denver Broncos could send one of these 5 players

The rumors might have slowed down a bit but there’s still a good chance the Denver Broncos could make a play for Aaron Rodgers this offseason.

Rodgers has made it no secret in the past that he has issues with how the Green Bay Packers are running things and while he might have been happy near the end of the season, he’s still someone who could try and force his way out.

And if that does happen, look for the Broncos to offer a package of picks for his services. However, they could also sweeten the pot by adding one of these five players as well.

Aaron Rodgers trade piece No. 5: Dre’Mont Jones, DE

The 6-foot-3, 281-pound Dre’Mont Jones was a third-round pick out of Ohio State back in 2019 and has lived up to his draft status for the Broncos. In three seasons, he has 86 tackles and 15.5 sacks as he’s proven to be a solid player on the edge.

His size would also make him a perfect fit in the Packers’ three-man defensive line where he could continue to provide a push on the outside – while also helping to free things up for their pass-rushing outside linebackers.

In recent seasons, Green Bay has invested heavily in their defense and it has paid off tremendously. Should they now look to move on from Aaron Rodgers and hand things over to Jordan Love, they would need to continue to make such investments, which is why Jones would be a tempting addition.
