Aaron Rodgers trade piece No. 2: Noah Fant, TE

Over the past couple of seasons, the Packers found themselves a stud at tight end with Robert Tonyan breaking out for them. However, he now enters free agency and John Buhler of FanSided says that he might not return due to him being deserving of a major pay raise.

"“No doubt about it, tight end Robert Tonyan has become a fan favorite over the last few years. He was a tremendous playmaker in the Packers’ passing game a season ago. During his breakout season, he had over 50 catches, 500 receiving yards and double-digit touchdowns. However, the 27-year-old tight end is playing on a dirt-cheap contract and the Packers will have to pony up.” – Buhler, FanSided"

Buhler says despite Tonyan ending the season injured, he should be prioritized by Green Bay but also admits they have other issues including the impending free agency of Davante Adams.

Should Tonyan get away in free agency, the Packers would suddenly be in trouble at the spot. That’s why it could make things easier for the Broncos to land Aaron Rodgers by offering Noah Fant in a trade.

Fant is a former first-round pick entering his fourth season in the NFL and he’s been as good as advertised for Denver. He has 1,905 yards and 10 touchdowns in three seasons and it would be tough to see him go but they have another player who could step in if needed.

Albert Okwuegbunam isn’t the same caliber player as Fant but he picked up 330 yards on 33 receptions with two touchdowns in a reserve role. He could start if Denver moved on from Fant making this one a possibility.
