Miami Dolphins get a steal in 2022 NFL mock draft

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Utah. player. 59. LB. Devin Lloyd. 29

29. Miami Dolphins (via San Francisco 49ers): Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah

They traded their pick to the Eagles but then landed the 49ers selection in this draft. That means they still get a day one pick but slide back some due to the Niners making it to the NFC Championship Game. Miami unceremoniously fired Brian Flores but they did at least make a great hire in Mike McDaniel — who is the exact type of head coach who has had success in recent years. He’s young, hyper-intelligent, and focused on an analytical approach to the game.

While they will likely want to add talent to the offense, the best value for the Dolphins here could be to bring in Devin Lloyd from Utah. He’s a three-down linebacker who can make all the plays and should help them get the ball back for an offense that has a lot of solid pieces for McDaniel to work with.

Penn State. Jahan Dotson. 30. 124. WR. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

30. Kansas City Chiefs: Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

No one could have predicted the Kansas City Chiefs would have lost in the AFC Championship Game due to their offense failing them. Sure, they had some ups and downs in the early portion of the 2021 season but by the time the playoffs came around, they looked like themselves again — and even scored on a 13-second drive to knock off the Bills.

With all this being said, it’s understandable that the front office will want to make sure they do what they can to become unstoppable once again. Adding Jahan Dotson from Penn State with pick No. 30 could make them that.

Dotson is a big play waiting to happen and adding him to an offense that includes Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, and Mecole Hardman feels unfair.
