NFL 2022: Predicting the starting QB for all 32 teams pre-NFL Free Agency
Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow
Clearly, the Cincinnati Bengals are in a great spot with Joe Burrow.
Unfortunately, this is the second offseason in a row that he’s going into with rehab for his knee on the docket.
An injury in the Super Bowl didn’t result in long-term complications for Burrow’s knee — it’s apparently just a sprain — but seeing number nine on the ground against the Rams and writhing in pain is going to be the driving force of the Bengals’ entire 2022 offseason.
They need to invest heavily in the offensive line, and I think they will.
Burrow has quickly become one of the most impactful quarterbacks in the entire NFL.
He’s a magician at escaping pressure in the pocket. His game went to another level this past season with Ja’Marr Chase in the fold and it helped unlock things for Tee Higgins on the other side of the field as well.
Burrow has quickly established himself as one of the top young quarterbacks in a league that is quickly becoming full of guys (especially in the AFC) that will drive the next generation of football.
Again, the Bengals need to do whatever it takes to protect Burrow this offseason. His future and the future of the franchise depend on it.
