San Francisco 49ers: Trey Lance

This is why the San Francisco 49ers moved all of that draft capital in 2021 to get Trey Lance, right?

The writing is on the wall and Jimmy Garoppolo will be traded at some point in the near future. Who knows how much longer things will move behind the scenes before that actually happens but the 49ers will find Jimmy G. a new home soon enough.

After Garoppolo is traded, this team will be Trey Lance’s team.

The rookie out of North Dakota State played sparingly this past season but that was always the plan.

He will now bring his elite dual-threat abilities to the field in Kyle Shanahan’s offense every week, and the best-case scenario for this is scary for the rest of the NFL.

Lance is an outstanding runner, but he’s also got a cannon for an arm.

With the 49ers, he’s got some big-time weapons to get the ball to and none more big-time than Deebo Samuel, who emerged as one of the top offensive weapons in the entire NFL this past season.

Lance should be a lot of fun to watch this coming season.
