Top 25 NFL free agency WRs No. 5: DJ Chark, Jacksonville Jaguars

DJ Chark made it to the Pro Bowl in the 2019 season for the Jacksonville Jaguars and has had a couple of disappointing years since then.

He wasn’t able to match production in 2020 and in 2021, he only played four games before suffering a season-ending injury.

With that being said, I think he still projects as one of the top-five best wide receiver options in 2022 NFL Free Agency.

Chark is 6-foot-4 and has 4.3 speed. There will always be a market for that. He not only has outstanding size and speed but he’s proven he can consistently make big plays despite poor QB play.

At the age of 25, Chark’s combination of talent, production, and upside will undoubtedly earn him a nice contract, even if it’s just a one-year prove-it deal from some other team.

I don’t know that the Jaguars would franchise tag him, but you never know. That doesn’t seem to be the direction things are headed, but there’s always a chance for the unexpected when it comes to the NFL.

If Chark reaches free agency, he will probably have teams lined up giving him the chance to take a prove-it deal and hit free agency again next offseason at the age of 26.
