Derek Carr landing spot No. 4: Seattle Seahawks

One of the teams that hasn’t been talked about much this offseason in terms of being a landing spot for available QBs is the Seattle Seahawks.

Until they are officially put to bed, rumors about Russell Wilson being traded will persist. As unlikely as a Wilson trade might seem right now, it’s certainly possible.

If Wilson is traded, the Seahawks would be back at square one. Although you don’t see it very often, could they find a way to pull the Raiders into a three-team trade if Las Vegas is not Wilson’s preferred destination?

They may need to.

Although teams like the Eagles and Giants have great draft capital this year, the Seahawks may want a proven player at QB coming back in any Russell Wilson trade.

Maybe they’d be willing to take a shot on someone like Jalen Hurts or Daniel Jones in the event they traded with one of those NFC East teams, but a player like Carr could push this Seattle team back into the playoffs sooner rather than later.

The Seahawks have just under $40 million in available cap space to open the 2022 NFL offseason and a player like Derek Carr would be a nice rebound if Wilson forces his way out.
