The Miami Dolphins could be making roster changes with a new head coach and if so, the Dallas Cowboys should call about these 3 players

When a team makes changes at head coach, it could result in a shakeup of the roster. That could be happening for the Miami Dolphins who just brought in Mike McDaniel to replace Brian Flores — and the Dallas Cowboys are a team that should be paying attention to which players are rumored to be on the move.

Dallas currently has a great foundation on their roster but they do have several key free agents as well as some players who could be moved due to cap reasons. That means they should be looking around the league for players who could come in and fill some holes while keeping them competitive.

Here, we identify three such players from the Miami Dolphins that Dallas should call about.

Dallas Cowboys trade target from Miami No. 3: Raekwon Davis, Defensive Tackle

Raekwon Davis came into the league in 2020 with a lot of attention thanks to his stellar career with the Alabama Crimson Tide. As a rookie, he showed flashes of his talent, recording 40 tackles and showing the ability to really hold his own in the run game.

However, 2021 was a different story. Davis had just 28 tackles and saw his effectiveness dip tremendously according to Pro Football Focus.

Of course, the talent is still there — as is the massive 6-foot-7 and 330-pound frame. Still, there was something that just didn’t work in 2021 and that could lead to McDaniel and company seeing if they need another option. For Dallas, they would be wise to call about his availability, as it would give Davis a shot to rebound with a new team while adding some much-needed muscle to the Cowboys’ defensive interior.
