Could the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles come together on any trades in the 2022 offseason? Here are a few that could make sense.

The Pittsburgh Steelers enter the 2022 offseason with a number of major areas they need to address, starting with the quarterback position.

The Ben Roethlisberger era is over and the Steelers will also soon say goodbye to longtime general manager Kevin Colbert, who will work with the team through the 2022 NFL Draft.

What other moves could we see from Colbert and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the coming weeks? The Steelers have been pretty active on the trade market in the past few years so even if the Steelers aren’t making a blockbuster move in the 2022 offseason, some smaller deals could be on the horizon.

Could they look to their in-state NFC counterparts, the Philadelphia Eagles, to strike a deal or two? Let’s take a look at three trades with the Eagles that could make a lot of sense for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh Steelers trade target No. 1: Gardner Minshew, QB

One player that should be more coveted in the 2022 offseason than I think he is given credit for is Gardner Minshew.

Every opportunity Minshew gets, he looks like he should be someone’s full-time starter. I’m not going to sit here and say just yet that Minshew is a franchise quarterback, but he does look like a quality starter.

The Eagles got him for next-to-nothing last offseason and I think they should be able to get something decent for him in the final year of his contract depending on how they feel about Jalen Hurts and their own QB situation moving forward.

From the Steelers’ perspective, Mason Rudolph would be the team’s starter if they had a game this weekend. With all due respect to Rudolph, I think Minshew would be an upgrade.

Wherever Minshew lands in the 2022 offseason, it will be worth monitoring.
