Pittsburgh Steelers target No. 2: Jalen Reagor, WR

The Philadelphia Eagles used a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on TCU wide receiver Jalen Reagor. At this point, he’s been one of the most underwhelming receivers in a draft class that was absolutely loaded at the position.

The Eagles turned around in 2021 and drafted DeVonta Smith early in the first round, and he instantly became their WR1.

Reagor had a horrendous 2021 campaign, and with two years remaining on his rookie contract, he could very well be a trade candidate for them, especially if they are poised to spend money on the free agent wide receiver group and look at the NFL Draft for upgrades.

The Steelers happen to have a couple of those receivers hitting free agency, including JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Smith-Schuster nearly left in 2021 and I think we could ultimately see him leave for good in 2022. If that’s the case, it could be a nice risk/reward move to add Jalen Reagor to the mix when you’ve already got Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson on the upswing.

Reagor has big-time speed and playmaking ability, but so far hasn’t been able to unlock his potential with the Eagles. Maybe it could happen in Pittsburgh.
