The Dallas Cowboys own the No. 24 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and will have a tough decision to make. However, these are their five best options in Round 1.

We can debate until we are blue in the face about what went wrong for the Dallas Cowboys this season or we can move on and try to discuss what they can do to improve in 2022.

While the recent debate in that regard has been about players who could be cap casualties, we can’t forget about the upcoming NFL Draft — which is something this front office has actually started to have a lot of success with.

Dallas has done a great job building their roster through the draft and they aim to continue doing just that. With that being said, here’s a look at the five best options for them when they’re on the clock at No. 24 in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Dallas Cowboys Round 1 option No. 5: Devonte Wyatt, DT, Georgia

Osa Odighizuwa was a pretty solid find for the Cowboys in the third round this past season and Neville Gallimore was a good pick in the third round of the previous draft. However, Dallas can’t just stand pat at the position if they expect to take a step forward this coming season.

That’s why a player such as Devonte Wyatt would be one of their top four options. At times, Wyatt was overshadowed by fellow defensive tackle Jordan Davis but the 6-foot-3, 315-pounder was a beast in his own right and completely bullied people at the Senior Bowl.

If he blows up at the Combine, he might not be an option at No. 24 but if he does slide to Dallas, this would be one of the best options for them.
