CB Sidney Jones an underrated 2022 NFL free agent

Sidney Jones was once the 43rd overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.  He has decent size at 6’0″, and ran 4.47 at the NFL combine several years ago.

Jones has battled injuries his entire career, beginning his NFL tenure with the Eagles, then played a year with the Jaguars, and in 2021, played for the Seahawks.

Before playing for Seattle in 2021, he had never played more than 12 games in a season.  He played in 16 games for the Seahawks this season and enjoyed the best season of his career.

While he was held without an interception, he had 59 total tackles and 10 passes defended.

Also, according to PFF, his season grades have gradually gotten better each season.

Sidney Jones isn’t going to break the bank by any means, nor be signed on the first day of free agency but he’ll turn just 26 in May and should be right in line to hit his prime years.

If he can build off his strong 2021 season with Seattle, Jones will make a team, whether it’s the Seahawks or otherwise, very happy.
