The Los Angeles Rams won it all and because of that, they start out on top of these pre-Scouting Combine 2022 NFL Power Rankings

March 1 is when the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine will begin and while that doesn’t technically signify the start of a new season, it feels like the unofficial beginning. It also makes it feel like a good time to again revisit our 2022 NFL Power Rankings.

The Combine will be the first step for many of the teams near the bottom of these rankings as they aim to catch up to powerhouse franchises, such as the Super Bowl-winning Los Angeles Rams. They will get a good, long look at players who they believe can either round out their roster, or be the savior.

But before then, let’s take one last look at how every team compares against one another in these pre-Scouting Combine rankings.

Jaguars start 2022 NFL Power Rankings at No. 32

32. Jacksonville Jaguars

It seems to be a continual thing where the poor Jacksonville Jaguars just keep struggling. They nearly broke through in 2017 when they made it to the AFC Championship Game but every year from then on has been a struggle.

They own the No. 1 pick for the second season in a row but they really need to start developing some of these early picks if they ever want to be a truly competitive team.

As for their coach, bringing in Doug Pederson is an improvement over Urban Meyer but there’s still a lot of work to be done.

31. Detroit Lions

Dan Campbell might have had a weird introduction where he was talking about biting kneecaps but his players fought hard for him. They were in several close games but they just couldn’t pull it out.

In the end, you are what your record says. And until they can figure out how to close some of those games, this is a team that will be looking up at others in the standings.
