4. Buffalo Bills

Entering 2022, the Buffalo Bills are aiming to win the AFC East for the third season in a row. They’re also looking to avenge another loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. And while this loss didn’t happen in the AFC title game, it was still a huge heartbreaker.

Josh Allen became a superstar this season and had the lead with 13 seconds to go, but never got the ball back as it went to overtime and the Chiefs scored right away to win it. Yes, they need to get better on defense to avoid such a thing but it was still hard to watch Allen sit idly by as their season ended.

Right now, they come in just before the Chiefs but these teams are close and it won’t take a lot for Buffalo to finally surpass them. But the question is, can they do enough?

3. Kansas City Chiefs

Early in the season, there were questions about the Kansas City Chiefs offense. That seemed to be solved as they went on a tear, including the aforementioned 13-second drive that ended the Bills hopes. But then in the second half against the Cincinnati Bengals, their problems came back.

Kansas City’s defense was unable to hold them off and the offense failed to score enough in the final 30 minutes to get the win. It was the first time in the past three years they weren’t in the Super Bowl and it will likely make them more dangerous this season as the focus will be turned up.
