30. New York Giants

Once again, the New York Giants are switching up head coaches after just two seasons. Of course, it again felt like a dire need. Joe Judge quickly proved he wasn’t the guy for the job and even though he tried to fire Jason Garrett in-season as a scapegoat, it was apparent the team wasn’t buying what he was selling.

Now with Brian Daboll coming in, there will be yet another change made to the offensive philosophy — and it’s going to be very interesting to see how this works with Daniel Jones. The fourth-year quarterback has yet to prove he’s the answer and that’s even after they overhauled the receiving room in 2021.

There are also concerns about Saquon Barkley as well as rumors of him being available. Put it all together and it feels like another rebuild is on the way.

29. Houston Texans

Three of the first four teams mentioned in these rankings all have one thing in common — a new coach has been hired. The problem for the Houston Texans is, their selection made a lot of waves for the wrong reasons.

After looking long and hard at Josh McCown — who does not have any experience — they went with Lovie Smith who was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator last season when Houston went 4-13. It’s hard to believe in this team after watching them go with someone who was a part of the struggles in 2021 and hoping that will bring change in 2022.
