NFL Throwback uniform no. 2: Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best NFL throwback looks of all time.

The kelly green uniforms for the Eagles are classics, and they bring back memories of some of the league’s all-time greats like Randall Cunningham and Reggie White.

Even today, the Philadelphia Eagles still have one of the top uniforms in the NFL if you’re asking me. Their current shade of green is really outstanding in combination with the black and white they mix in, and their alternate black uniforms are one of the best in the NFL.

The classic Eagles look, however, must be brought back.

In the 80s and 90s, you didn’t really see a lot of creativity in terms of lettering and numbers on the uniforms. Most uniforms in the NFL at this time were pretty simple with three stripes on the sleeve and on the pants along with block lettering.

The block lettering with the kelly green and light gray goes perfectly together but the Eagles had the added touch of their full logo on the sleeve, which makes these uniforms really pop.

The kelly green helmets with the gray facemask are such a good look, and I think the Eagles could even consider a path back to this style of uniform on a full-time basis, not just resurrecting them as an alternate.
