Green Bay Packers target no. 2: Allen Robinson, WR

Perhaps the Green Bay Packers and Allen Robinson will finally find each other this offseason in free agency.

Robinson and the Packers have been connected in the past, and we might finally see this pairing come to pass in the 2022 offseason.

Allen Robinson has been a dynamic presence since he came into the NFL out of Penn State back in 2014. He has certainly paid his dues by catching passes from guys like Blake Bortles and Andy Dalton, and when healthy, he’s been productive despite the quarterbacks throwing him the ball.

For years now, the Packers have struggled to find or have simply ignored the wide receiver position. At Aaron Rodgers’ request, they finally brought in Randall Cobb last year, but Davante Adams has been doing some extremely heavy lifting as the WR1 of this offense.

With all due respect to the contributions of players like Cobb or Allen Lazard, a dynamic option like Robinson on the opposite side of the field from Davante Adams?

That could put the Packers over the edge.

After four years in Jacksonville and four years in Chicago, Robinson deserves the chance to go and play for a team where the quarterback position is settled, where he would have a lot of opportunities to beat one-on-one coverage and put up huge numbers.
