Seattle Seahawks: Randy Gregory, EDGE (Cowboys)

The Seattle Seahawks are no strangers to taking shots on potential character risks in free agency or the NFL Draft.

When healthy and when not suspended by the NFL, Randy Gregory has proven to be a pretty fantastic pass rusher and edge player.

He is coming off of perhaps his best season as a pro, racking up 17 QB hits, 6.0 sacks, and three forced fumbles along with 29 total pressures.

Gregory thrived in Dan Quinn’s defense this past season and I think he can thrive apart from it, so long as he can stay on the field.

Carlos Dunlap paced the Seahawks with 8.5 sacks this past season and the defense, overall, had plenty of success, ranking 11th in points allowed over the course of the 2021 season.

With that being said, if Gregory’s numbers were transferred over to Seattle, he would have led the team in QB hits and he could certainly be an asset for this team off the edge.

I think even though he’s been in the league for a while now, Gregory has double-digit sack potential and perhaps his best days are yet to come.
