Los Angeles Rams: Cordarrelle Patterson, RB/WR (Falcons)

One free agent that isn’t getting nearly enough attention is Atlanta Falcons offensive weapon Cordarrelle Patterson.

Patterson was viewed coming out of Tennessee as a jack-of-all-trades but the NFL couldn’t quite figure out how to maximize his talent early on. Or, perhaps, Patterson’s game has just truly evolved in late-bloomer fashion.

With the Atlanta Falcons this past season, Patterson became every fantasy football player’s favorite waiver wire pickup of the year as he racked up 1,166 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns offensively along with 434 yards as a kickoff returner.

Although the Los Angeles Rams don’t really need another receiver for next season, perhaps a player like Cordarrelle Patterson could work well in Sean McVay’s offense as a tandem running back and receiver out of the backfield, along with bringing his experience and prowess in the return game.

I love the idea of the Rams making a creative free agent splash like this and adding the veteran Patterson to their offensive arsenal.

Bonus

I also think the Rams are going to find a way to re-sign Von Miller, maybe to a deal for a maximum of 2-3 years. Miller was excellent for them after being acquired in a deadline deal from the Denver Broncos.
