Tennessee Titans: Alexander Johnson, LB (Broncos)

The Tennessee Titans need to work some salary cap magic to make moves in the 2022 NFL Free Agency period, but they should be able to do that and I think we could see them go bargain shopping.

One player that could be a nice bargain for any team in the 2022 offseason is linebacker Alexander Johnson, who has been a productive starter for the Denver Broncos when healthy over the last three seasons.

Due to off-the-field issues, Johnson’s NFL career didn’t get started until he was 27 years old, and he didn’t become a starter until he was 28.

Although he will be 31 this season, it’s not like there’s a ton of wear and tear on his body.

Johnson’s role in Vic Fangio’s defense this past year was expanding due to the injury suffered by Josey Jewell, the defensive play-caller for Fangio. Johnson stepped into that role until he suffered a season-ending pectoral injury and did a good job.

I think with the Titans, Johnson could be a nice 1-2 year flyer type of player and someone who not only excels at defending the run, but can be used as a blitzer to get after the quarterback.
